Sustainability is not just a trend, but an urgent necessity - also in electronics manufacturing. Our partner, STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH, is co-organizer of the next GREEN ELECTRONICS and is thus making a significant contribution to raising awareness of sustainable practices in the industry. The forum will take place from 12 to 13 February 2025 in Düsseldorf and promises an inspiring program with top-class speakers and many opportunities for networking.

The topic of sustainability has long since become a central component of the ecological transformation. The electronics industry in particular is facing major challenges: It's not just about lower energy consumption, but also about using resources more sparingly, avoiding problematic substances and moving towards a circular economy. All of these aspects must be incorporated into development and production right from the start - and this is precisely where GREEN ELECTRONICS comes in.

In cooperation with leading companies such as kolb Cleaning Technology GmbH, MTM Ruhrzinn GmbH, Stannol GmbH & Co. KG and, of course, STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH, the forum will be an important place for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. The aim is to firmly anchor the topics of sustainability, resource conservation and raw material recovery in the electronics industry and to communicate concrete approaches for action.

Insights from experts

Participants can look forward to an exciting program of presentations covering groundbreaking topics. One of the keynote speakers, Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Hahn, holder of the Henkel Endowed Chair for Sustainability Management at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, will highlight the economic aspects of sustainable action in companies in his keynote speech “Success factor sustainability management - (when) is sustainability also worthwhile in microeconomic terms?”.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Glück, Head of the Chair of Automation and Robotics at Aalen University, will also provide exciting insights in his lecture “Engineering. For a world worth living in.”, Prof. Dr. Glück will also provide exciting insights into how technical solutions can contribute to promoting sustainability. Other high-caliber speakers such as Kilian Schwaiger and Michael Schmidt will address the circular economy and the question of what the raw materials supply of the future must look like.

In addition to the presentations, there will be numerous opportunities for exchange and networking. GREEN ELECTRONICS will not only serve as a knowledge forum, but also as a platform for new partnerships and collaborations.
